Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition Blended Irish Whiskey (700ml)

Launched in March 2018, the second instalment in the Caskmates series follows the success ofthe Stout Edition. Both start with standard x-Bourbon and Oloroso matured Jameson whiskey as their base before being finished for unspecified periods in x-Jameson beer seasoned barrels – in this case it’s IPA (Irish Pale Ale). Despite bottling at an entry level ABV, the series has received unanimous praise. 40% Alc./Vol.

This is one of those whiskeys that continuously evolves in the mouth, progressing from a sweet, syrupy beginning of coconut macaroons, apple, and spices, to a creamier plateau of citrus, stewed fruits, and chocolate.
