Teeling Vintage Reserve 21 Year Old Batch 3 Single Malt Irish Whiskey (700ml)

Batch 3 of the Vintage Reserve series is a release of around 5000 bottles containing some of the oldest whiskey ever bottled by the Teeling company. Matured in x Bourbon casks and married in Sauternes wine casks (sweet white Bordeaux), it comes handsomely packaged in a wooden display box.

This example from Cooley distillery is a 1991 distillation matured in bourbon casks, then finished in a Sauternes cask.Temptations exude from the glass with apricot frangipane, whole almond, and cloved orange. After a vinous opening, it evolves through a complex palate of white chocolate, honey, cocktail grapefruit, and dried banana chips.
